Houston Summer Program

This summer in Houston we are starting a new initiative with grants from a private donor and ConnectHER. We visited 20 recently arrived Rohingya families who were resettled from Malaysia and the camps in Bangladesh. We were able to provide them each with 10 pounds of rice, 10 pounds of potatoes, 5 pounds of oranges and .75 gallon of oil. We visited about their individual needs and what they are hoping for their new lives in America. Already we have identified needs that we will followup on and programs that might help the newest members of our community.
